Binay visits Leyte Normal University
Tacloban City-September 18, 2013 the Philippines Vice-President Jejomar Binay visited Leyte Normal University for his Vice-President's Governing Experiences: A Colloquium on Promoting Sense of Ownership.
Part of Binay speech he tackled about the importance of education, that education is for all, for rich and poor, old and young, and those people living in urban and rural community. He also mentioned about the plan of having a memorandum of agreement between the University of Makati with Leyte Normal University.
"With the current good news that the University will come up with a memorandum of agreement like joining the two universities as one, like the University of Makati will have something to give to Leyte Normal University is really a big privileged that not everyone could have that MOA," said by the LNU Supreme Student Council (SSC) President Hon. Philip M. Nielo. He added that the visit of the Vice-President is such a great honor.
Mylene L. Casio a second year student taking-up Bachelor of Library Information Science (BLIS) during the interview when asked about her comment of the coming of Binay said "Naramdaman ko an existence han government, na feel ko an concern niya para ha school."
LNU students, faculty and staff attended the welcome pragram held at LNU gymnasium.
